DO NOT DEMONIZE PLASTIC

Have you ever wondered why plastic is the most used material for packaging production? It is convenient, economic and has a wide variety of sizes. But these are not the only reasons for its use, although they are all factors that should not be underestimated. Actually storing a substance in plastic container is the first way to guarantee the safety and inalterability of the components.

Today there are large varieties of plastic, some specifically designed to ensure the best performance both in terms of compatibility with the content and in terms of resistance and un-breakability. To pack its products, Germo uses PEHD bottles: a versatile and reliable compound for high-performance applications. PEHD plastic is also one of the most sought-after and used materials for containing liquids of various kinds: milk bottles, components, drums, car fuel tanks, etc. This is because it is more resistant than other plastics: it has a strong barrier against humidity, well withstands atmospheric variations, is chemically inert for most substances (it does not influence the content by yielding unsuitable substances) and is resistant to mold , fungi and bacteria. Finally, it has a low environmental impact in the production phase and also in the recovery phase, because it requires much less resources than the glass production of metals, and – remember – it is 100% recyclable if properly disposed.
